Interlibrary Loan
The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows users to borrow academic materials and request electronic resources between Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center and partner libraries both within Thailand and internationally. The ILL service aims to promote effective resource sharing and maximize the use of information resources while ensuring timely access to materials that meet users’ academic and research needs.
Who Can Use This Service?
- Mahidol University Members: All students, researchers, professor, and staff of Mahidol University may borrow materials or request electronic documents from partner libraries through the following channels:
Printed materials : Search and submit requests via “MU+: Search other libraries” Then click Inter library loan Request and fill out Interlibrary Loan request form

*Note: service fees may vary depending on the policies of each lending library or institution.
Electronic resources : Search and submit requests via “Resource Sharing Library” - Interlibrary Loan Members (Partner Library Members): Libraries within the cooperative network may borrow printed materials (books, theses) or request electronic documents (academic journals or online databases) from Mahidol University libraries by submitting requests to liill@mahidol.ac.th
(Resource Sharing Library)
The Resource Sharing Library service is an extension of our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service, enabling users to request electronic documents directly through the library’s online catalog from partner libraries across our international cooperative network. This service is specifically designed for accessing journal articles and book chapters in electronic format
Through this service, Mahidol University students, researchers, faculty, and staff can access electronic resources from more than 500 libraries worldwide, with fast electronic delivery at no cost, supporting all academic study and research needs.
Terms of Service
- Users: students, researchers, professor, and staff of Mahidol University only.
- Available Resources:
– Journal และ Article : Full-text file from academic journals or online databases (e-Databases).
– Book Chapter : Chapters file from books or electronic books (e-Books). Users may submit requests for up to 3 chapters per book. - Service Fees: Free of charge for all electronic documents and books.
- Turnaround Time: Digital documents and books are typically delivered automatically within 3–7 business days.
*Note: In some cases, fulfillment may take up to 30 days, depending on the response time of the lending library.

PULINET Plus Interlibrary Loan Service
The PULINET Plus Network is an academic collaboration initiative among 20 member universities of Thailand’s Provincial University Library Network (PULINET) and 9 leading central university members, working together to enhance resource sharing and improve access to academic information resources among participating institutions.

EDS-THAIPUL Network
The EDS-THAIPUL network is a collaborative interlibrary initiative utilizing the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) platform to facilitate the sharing and joint utilization of information resources among leading Thai private university libraries.
